Nachdem wir am Samstag die Grillsaison eingel\u00e4utet haben, entschlossen sich Martina und ich am Sonntag eine Fahrradtour von Gro\u00dfkrotzenburg, wo wir momentan wohnen, bis nach Aschaffenburg zu unternehmen. Die Strecke am Main entlang ist flach und betr\u00e4gt etwa 25 km. Heute begegneten uns viel L\u00e4ufer, anscheinend fand heute ein Wettkampf (Mainlauf) statt. Hinter Seligenstadt (6 km) gab es kaum noch L\u00e4ufer und wir \u00fcberquerten den Main wieder in\u00a0 Mainflingen (etwa 10 km).\u00a0 Nach einer kurzen Rast fuhren wir weiter durch Kleinostheim und Mainaschaff Richtung Aschaffenburg. Wenige Kilometer vor Aschaffenburg riss bei Martina's Fahrrad mit einem Knall eine Speiche. Die konnten wir mit Bordmitteln nicht reparieren, sie konnte aber trotzdem weiterfahren, obwohl das Hinterrad ziemlich \u201aeierte'.\u00a0 Etwa zeitgleich, vermutlich hervorgerufen durch die heftige Bremsung, verschob sich mein Hinterrad und rieb nun am Rahmen. Zum Gl\u00fcck lie\u00df sich das leicht mit den Schnellverschl\u00fcssen des Hinterrades reparieren.\u00a0 So schlichen wir die letzten Kilometer nach Aschaffenburg und k\u00e4mpften uns denSchlossberg hinauf. Wir nahmen uns die Zeit das Schloss anzuschauen und noch f\u00fcr einen kurzen Spaziergang \u00fcber den Markt, um uns mit einem Bier zu st\u00e4rken. Alle Sitzpl\u00e4tze um den Marktstand waren belegt, so dass wir uns zu einem \u00e4lteren P\u00e4rchen setzten. Das \u00fcber 80 Jahre alte P\u00e4rchen fing recht schnell von ihrem Leben zu erz\u00e4hlen; erstaunlich fand ich den Bericht, dass die Amerikaner w\u00e4hrend der Besatzungszeit nach dem zweiten Weltkrieg offensichtlich die Bev\u00f6lkerung ausraubte: Schmuck, Uhren, Federbetten,\u2026 In anderen Berichten wurden die GI's immer als freundlich zur Bev\u00f6lkerung dargestellt, die die hungernden Deutschen mit Schokolade versorgten.<\/p>\n<p>Aufgrund des misslichen Zustandes unserer Fahrr\u00e4der entschlossen wir\u00a0 uns per Zug Richtung Heimat zur\u00fcck zu fahren.
